Although the company itself has only been around ten years, Thaitsuki Nihonto's roots can be traced back over 200 years. It was back in 2001 that the Sivarat family founded Thaitsuki Nihonto, and already they have become one of the most well-respected names in samurai swords. It's no wonder, considering the family had been taught the secrets of sword making by actual Samurai warriors centuries ago. These blades were never before available to the public, as the family had been forging Japanese swords only for select collectors and martial artists in their native country of Japan and other areas in Asia.

Thaitsuki Nihonto has not compromised on quality to bring their swords to the masses. The use the same traditional methods and materials that have been utilized by the family for centuries. This is why no two Thaitsuki swords are ever exactly alike. Although everything about these swords is very traditional, modern metallurgy allows for these blades to be as strong as anything else on the market. These blades are made from folded high carbon steel.

Thaitsuki is so confident in the quality of their blades that they rigorously test their durability and aren't afraid to show the public the results. They have bent Thaitsuki blades more than 45 degrees and it didn't break, chip or even lose its form. The fact of the matter is, Thaitsuki Nihonto swords are amongst the most durable blades in the world.
