Thaitsuki Katana Swords
The katana, which is often referred to as the samurai sword, was the primary weapon of the swordsmen (samurai) of feudal Japan. The word literally translates to "backsword" in Japanese and will have a blade length over 23.6 inches (60 centimeters). The Thaitsuki katana is characterized by a curved, slender, single edged blade. Each Thaitsuki katana available has a blade length of 29 inches or 29.5 inches. These Thaitsuki katanas are available in both Maru and Sanmai steel. The difference being in the durability of the blade. The Thaitsuki Sanmai blade uses folded steel, allowing it to hold its edge and hold up after rigorous use. While the Thaitsuki Maru katana's edge is just as strong, but made from a single piece of steel. The Thaitsuki Maru sword is easier to forge however, and this is reflected in the price.
